A Beautiful Wedding at Amalia’s in Wake Forest, North Carolina

Sarah and Davin’s wedding at Amalia’s Authentic Italian Restaurant in Wake Forest, North Carolina was one of those special days where everything felt meaningful — from the music to the atmosphere. We had the honor of providing live string music for their ceremony and cocktail hour, creating an experience that was elegant, heartfelt, and deeply personal.

Setting the Scene

The morning started at The Westin in Raleigh, where anticipation filled the air as everyone prepared for the day. Sarah shared two emotional “first look” moments — one with her dad and one with Davin — before heading to Amalia’s for the ceremony.

By the time guests arrived, the restaurant’s courtyard was glowing in the soft afternoon light. Our Corda Entertainment string duo began the prelude with gentle, welcoming pieces that set a warm and romantic tone for the ceremony to come.

Live strings created the perfect backdrop as guests found their seats, giving the entire space a timeless, cinematic feel.

The Couple’s Playlist

Sarah and Davin’s prelude music was the perfect balance of timeless and modern. Every song was selected to reflect their personalities and the feeling they wanted to share with guests. Here are some of the highlights:

  • You’ve Got a Friend in Me – Randy Newman

  • At Last – Etta James

  • Home (Is Wherever I’m With You) – Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros

  • Feeling Good – Muse

  • Jurassic Park Theme (Custom String Arrangement)

  • Can’t Help Falling in Love – Elvis Presley

Ceremony Music That Matched the Moment

Sarah and Davin’s ceremony began at 4:45 PM with one of their favorite pieces — “Concerning Hobbits” from The Lord of the Rings.

As Sarah walked down the aisle with both her parents, the music shifted seamlessly to a more emotional melody. During the glass-breaking tradition, we performed “Siman Tov,” an upbeat and symbolic tune expressing good luck.

The ceremony concluded with “This Will Be” — a joyful and energetic recessional that filled the courtyard with applause, laughter, and love.

Live Wedding Musicians Wake Forest: Music for the Celebration

After the ceremony, guests enjoyed a relaxed cocktail hour as our string duo continued performing. The live music kept the mood bright and celebratory while allowing everyone to mingle and take in the charming atmosphere of Amalia’s courtyard.

There’s something special about how strings sound in this setting — surrounded by warm lighting, brick walls, and the buzz of conversation. The natural acoustics of Amalia’s made every note ring softly through the evening, enhancing the beauty of every moment.

A Wake Forest Wedding Filled with Meaning and Music

What made this wedding so special wasn’t just the music — it was how seamlessly everything fit together. The live strings elevated every part of the day, from the first note of the prelude to the final cheers of the recessional. Each song helped shape the rhythm of the day — from fun, lighthearted moments to emotional ones. That balance of energy is what makes live music so memorable. As wedding musicians in Wake Forest, we love seeing how live music transforms a space and connects people. At Amalia’s, every corner felt alive with sound, conversation, and joy.
